Did you know?

Almost 20% of women aged 18 to 50 experience vaginal and vulvar dryness

During menopause, close to 60% of women suffer from this condition!

The vulva is the external genital area, right outside of the vagina. It includes the opening of the vagina (or the vestibule), the outer lips or labia majora, the inner lips or labia minora, the clitoris, and other glands.

The glands in the genital area produce a mucus-like fluid that acts as a lubricant. However, a drop in estrogen levels due to hormone imbalances, thyroid and other diseases, chemotherapy, perimenopause or menopause, among other reasons, decreases moisture levels leading to vulvar dryness and irritation (also often referred to as vaginal dryness).
